...Hmm?

Overall a good take (for a demo).

Contrary to previous reviews, I thought the overall flow worked very well with the song - and due to the lack of a lead or percussion, I could very easily see that as an interlude track to another song on a CD (think "Parabol" into "Parabola" from TOOL)...

Nothing greatly exciting, but givin the overall vibe of the song, I think that's what you were going for. I'd actually like to see this song revisited some day... if nothing else, maybe with just some higher quality, as, well, no offense, but at times the vocals get a little indistinguishable and/or off-key.

Very nice

Not generally my "style" to listen to something along these lines, but I really saw myself getting into this. The overall basic song structure does a lot for it and keeps it rolling along smoothly with near expert execution on the guitar lines - I REALLY dug the sound you used for this as well. The pinch-harmonic solo works very well and blends perfectly with the rest of the song in that its nothing too fancy or show-off-ish, but rather just a nice, simple sound that hooks the listener. Nothing too fancy in the bass work, just the nice low end line following the guitars. The drums fit very nicely as well - programmed?

Overall you got a 10 and a 5 outta me for giving NG a good song that you obviously put a lot of work into... can't wait to hear it with vocals.

Dimoria responds:

That is freaking awesome man :) Yeah I tried to keep it simple yet something out of the ordinary . Though I think the overall setup is too ordinary , I still think the song is one of a kind. Thanks alot :) I tried to make the solo as emotional as I could. I bit short perhaps , but I think that I succeded in what I wanted. But there are no pinch harmonics in the solo. The drums are programmed. I was told by a friend that I could use his digidrums etc , but he went on a vaccation. And I didn't want to wait :P A BIG thank you for your kind and extremly detailed review. If only everyone on newgrounds could write like you :)
Cheers.

Hmm...

Drum programming and guitar playing seemed perfect - factoring in, of course, the lack of solos. Good rhythm work, though.

The only thing I can complain about is the lack of the bassline... and... the vocals, no offense, were just horrible. And yeah, I know you didn't do them, but they're still part of the song, so that's something that needs to be touched on in a review. Dethklok is just straight Death Metal, nothing industrial or black metal-ish about them, which is where the vocals seemed to be. Not raw or "throaty" enough, if you will.

Overall, pretty good work. Stayed close to the original, but did nothing to really stand out, you know? Perhaps if you sort through this and produce another take, I'm sure you'll do something to spice it up.

Don't get me wrong, though. I did enjoy it, just offering some constructive criticism. =]

Eternalreich responds:

thanks for the honest reveiw. it needs the rest for sure. ive got another blank version so lets get it done! theres bound to be some musicians here who can get it done. right?

Good Work

Catchy bass, good guitar line, and great drum programming.

My only complaint is a lack of variation in the drumline. Overall, though, I think it'd be a pretty nice song with some vocals.

Nice work =]

Thank you!

Simply Awesome

This has to be by far the best Bloody Tears cover / remix on NG. You obviously put a lot of time and effort into this, and it shows - not a boring part from start to finish. GREAT work!

Uhm

Contrary to what you obviously believe, jerking off into your $5 computer microphone is NOT music.

Sorry.

Oh wow :O

Pretty freaking awsome. Love the guitar sound you managed to get outta the song. What program did you use? Great job re-making one of my favourite MM songs. Props for that =] 5/5

I recently made one myself. Maybe you'd like to check it out.

Luigio responds:

Well this response is way late in coming, but thanks for the review. I noticed veryone did remixes of the songs into techno and heavy metal, I just figured I'd stick more to the original version. I used Cubase, which is a MIDI program that I just converted into an MP3 to upload here.

Also, nice mix you did there

Hmm..

For some reason this reminded me vaguely of the Labyrinth themes from the original Zelda game...

But in any case, GREAT composition! Very smooth, nice transitions, and excellent feel altogether.

Got a 5, bro.

Oh hell yes

Halfway through the song I was just convinced this was another 8 year old that got his hands on Fruity Loops. But damn son. Halfway through the song, I got kicked in the ass. AWESOME work... keep this shit goin'

Wtf...

...is a wooden monkey?

Anywho, nice little piece, got a nice groove to it, and some supurb programming style as well. Loved the "descent" about half way through.

Props to you, man. 4/5
